"God Warrior" strikes again

Ponchatoula's Marguerite Perrin is set to appear on FOX reality show "Trading Spouses" once again next week. Daily Star staff writer Libby Haydel found out she was the only former guest to be asked to do another episode.

Her last appearance was marked by an angry rant against her Wiccan host family that has been parodied by many, including one drag queen. Perrin wants to show America she is not as closed-minded as she appeared the first time around.

Will Perrin improve her image by appearing on "Trading Spouses" again, or has the damage already been done?

isnt that just wonderful........ :(

That just goes to show that you don't need talent to be a star in America any more.

What an embarassment! SHe may call herself a "God Warrior" but in my view nothing she says or does on television is bringing glory to God.

Hot. Just hot. They've really gussied her up this time.

If she was an embarrasement the first time - what makes her do it again!!! Louisiana already has a stigma "dumb hicks" and the world loves to put down on christians...She's already done enough damage!!!

I'm getting ready to move down there over the summer, and though I know La. (my home) to be one of the most tolerant states in the USA, I hope this woman learns to keep her yap closed. She was a disgrace to the human race once before....

Hey! At least Margurite Perrin keeps her panty ons!

She was gracious, well spoken, and lovely on the Jay Leno Show. Perhaps we would all be better off if we stood up for our beliefs. Don't criticize until you have made an effort to better our world as Margaret has.

haha, yeah, keep the panties on!! Seriously folks, quit judging. TV is entertainment. Like her or not, she was entertaining. Now they have offered her another job. If I had a chance to pay off my house and put my kids thru college, I would sure take it. Good luck to her and her families!!

I think that she has the right to do whatever she chooses, even if the choice makes her look even more ignorant than before. From the sounds of it, in the first episode, she was very narrow minded and tried to push her religious views upon others. If this was the case then I don't blame the host family for lashing out. I am a Christian, but she has to realize that Christianity is not the only religion in the world.

On a side note, maybe she should have fixed her missing tooth before getting the gastric bypass surgery. For some, a gap in between the teeth adds character, but for her it just makes her look like redneck trash.

She was able to get away with being a "bully" when she became a phenomenon on Trading Spouses. She capitalized on it. My fear is that now, since this is her "gimmick" - can it possibly get any worse?

People are NOT tuning in to see "Nice Marguerite Perrin". And I am most certain the show producers reminded her of this constantly. I don't know Perrin personally, but it's a safe bet she will be just as belligerant.

I have never been as embarassed as I was when that woman appeared on television. A co worker here in Houston, was discussing it and I was so upset that I made her swear not to tell anyone that she was from my hometown. She is disgusting...

I am originally from the Hammond-Ponchatoula area and would never admit to anyone that this woman is from my hometown. What an embarrassament to us all.

Her friends are awful and ignorant to the suffering of others. The hurricane did not affect everyone the same and no not everyone can rebuild their life in a year. Those kind of women are the perfect example of what I don't want my children to be like.

TIME TO DEGRADE PONCHATOULA?!?!

ITS SAD TO PUT DOWN LOUISIANA TO GET YOUR FAME

I watched the show on Friday night. When is the "God Warrier's" 24 year old daughter going to move out on her own?

It's not enough to have Britney Spears representing our state what with her showing her goods to everybody, now we have Mrs. Perrin embarrassing us too. She might be trying to come off "not so crazy" this time but I'm sure it's not going to work. I know they edit a lot of things out to make the show look more interesting. But, I have to agree with Chriss, the hurricane didn't effect everyone in the same way and those that think differently are in a dream world. On the other hand, I do believe that some people want things handed to them and I stress some people being white and black. Not just one color. There are jobs out there to be had if one is willing to work even if it means slinging hamburgers until something better comes along. And not everyone gets to have luncheons in the middle of the week because we are at work. If Mrs. Perrins friends were affected by the hurricane they sure wouldn't be having a luncheon in the middle of a workday. I find them to be snobs and racists.

good luck mrs. margerite, i think you are doing a good thing. i'm sure you are having fun. anyone would do the same! who would turn down hollywood and all that money? uh no one! its all for entertainment anyway.

I've been trying to keep up with the Fox.com/tradingspouses board, but dear Lord! That's some saaaad, sad stuff going on over there. I'll admit some posters at that board (and others) have valid and fair points to make, like the posters here so far. Thanks for keeping it moderated and CLEAN, Renee!

Yes, some of those featured in the show most definetly come off as snobs. But that's what is shown so far - and that's all we have to go on. I am MOST POSITIVE however, that after this Friday's episode, the family and friends featured in the TS show will be able to comment and give feedback freeely. It's just that in the contract, those featured in the show, from Marguerite to the "lunch ladies", are not at liberties to comment until all episodes have been featured.

Hopefully, they will post here when they can.

I am also in the agreement about the Hurricane debate. Katrina DID effect many people in Tangiaphoa in different ways from jobs to trees falling on their homes. That happened to a few people I know personally. But none of us here in Hammond, the city of Ponchatoula, and cities north of the lake (not counting the Lakefront in St. Tammany) suffered anything close to the Big Easy. I don't care how many leaves you had to rake in your yard, or the limbs you had to drag away. I did too - at six months pregnant in the heat and humidity to boot. I didn't ask FEMA for a dime because of sweating out there while picking up the yard. Neither should anyone else, if thats what they did. If a pine tree fell straight on top of your home, cutting it in two, then that's a totally different story altogether.

In the same respect that Abassi dad in Florida compiled all Katrina evacuees into a victimized state because of the white man - I laughed and blew it off. A family (who yes, happens to be black) happily took an $80,000 home donated to them in Tennessee after they lost everything in Katrina. Right there at the church in front of God and everybody. Within weeks, the mom and dad sold the beutiful and donated home for CASH, right under the churches nose, and are heading back to New Orleans. Is that MY fault? My childens fault? Because of our "whiteness"? Nope. Uh uh. Don't think so.

And it never will be.

Hook the dad of the Abasi (sp?) family up with the family who sold the donated home for cash. I'd love to see how doing something so despicable and selfish is my caucasion childrens fault. I could use another good laugh.

Thank you Perrin Family for showing me that snobbery at its finest still exists in Ponchatoula. Here I was thinking this was a safe haven from such crap. Thank you, I am now schooled in the color of selective ignorance and stupity.

Just finished watching the last show. I have to admit I liked the way Mrs. Perrin handled the money situation. Not only did she get the last word, she got revenge on how he treated her, which was uncalled for. He made the black people look bad plus himself.

Alot of people were affected by Katrina, some more than others. What this man failed to realize is that money was given to people and some chose to use it to come back and fix things up but others used it to go "christmas shopping". That's not the white peoples fault they didn't use the money for what it was intended for. This man was way over the top and if he wants to be African he needs to go to Africa. The black people aren't Africans, they are Americans. Get over it!

The most important thing about being a Christian is how you show yourself in tough situations. She showed me that she dose not know Christ. God expects us to be Christ-like in everthing we do. So that people that dont know Him can come to Know him through us. If you dont know Him dont let what you saw in her stop you from looking for God. God is peace and joy, not what you saw in that show.

What a disgrace...The Perrins need to retire from Tv. Margaret is such a christin, she purposly did not give those people the money they needed. What a crock. She needs to be ashamed of herself. She makes us all look like dumb southerners here. Please stop the madness.....

God Warrior????????? Please she would not have cashed the 1st check. Then to go on and do it again. Looks like a money scam instead of a way to spread the word. I think she really needs some prayer. What a way to make 100
thousand.

That's horrible news. She should be ashamed of herself and whoever decided to put her face back on television should be ahamed. She was a disgrace to Louisiana and all Christians. She made a fool of herself on NATIONAL TELEVISION using the GOOD LORDS name in a disgracful manner. It is also funny how she tore up the check in the tv show stating that it was the devils money or something of that sort but I heard she accepted a check for Ten thousand for doing it. We obviously know she took the money considering she looks a lot better in the picture above then she did that day. It is sad to see that she would act so UNCHRISTIAN like in the tv show then turn it around for her greedy benifit. Now she wants to do another show.. what for more money. Like ten grand wasn't enough. I hate to judge being the CHRISTIAN I am but I don't think the Lord was pleased with her performance and I pray she doesn't PRETEND to be a "rowdy christian" again because it was wrong, shameful, and disrespectful. SO sad to see people act like fools for money. Hey I'm a christian not a Saint but I least I stand up for what I believe in and will never act one way then turn around and act other for a filthy check. Never would I disgrace GOD for a payoff

I watched the show, and while Mrs. Perrins' behavior was much improved this time; I am reminded of the old adage that one is judged by one's friends...The w.a.s.p.s. that Mrs. Perrin luncheons with are not a good reflection upon her,to say the least. Abasi? I truly wish that his elder Marguerite had had the opportunity to counsel him from the age of 10! He had a good message, but delivered it FAR too late. By the time he got around to it, he had screwed the proverbial pooch, and probably lost more ground through his own hatred and anger than he would have gained by simply practicing what he was preaching. Marguerites, eldest? MOVE OUT.

I sat next to this woman at the Osaka Hibachi place in Covington. She kept ranting on and on about how she was so popular and how she was set to do so many "great" things.

What a hypocrite. Does she know the first sin of pride? I'd suppose not, since she doesn't know the sin of gluttony either (or maybe laziness). Stomach stapling? Isn't that vanity? Taking money from the show? Greed. "THEY'RE DARK SIDED PEOPLE!!!" sounds a little wrathful to me. What's that, 5 of 7 deadly sins?

The only ones that I can't pin are envy and lust. But, I doubt anyone would lust after that wildebeast. Envy, however, could be seen in her intolerance to the other family's beliefs. Could she envy their happiness in their lives that she could never fulfill in hers? Hmm.

Where's giving unto ceaser what is ceaser's? Doesn't Christianity teach tolerance? And what ever happened to praying in silent in your room instead of out in the street?

She's all talk; it's apparent. She's no "God Warrior." Hands that help are stronger than lips that pray.

I'm not from LA and boy am I glad! I saw her second appearance where she went to the home of an African American family. Not only was she completely backward and ignorant, but her friends took the cake. The "genteel southern ladies" having their luncheon without a single clue in thier over processed heads making the most thoughtless remarks about Hurricane Katrina victims. Thank you ladies for showing the world your thinly veiled racism and blatant ignorance. I bet you all sit in church every Sunday don't you? Wow, what hypocrites.
